Last week our Wine Director Collette spent an extraordinary few days exploring the Spanish province of La Rioja in the search for new wines to bring back a taste of the Basque country to Hills Prospect and our customers.

First stop Madrid, where some wonderful food paired with an incredible tasting was presented by MG Wines. A huge thank you to Ignacio!

The next morning was spent in Logrono, the heart of Rioja, with a visit to Sonsierra and it's breathtaking vineyard views.

The afternoon entailed a visit to our dear friends at Rioja Vega, followed by a 'tapas crawl' through Calle del Laurel filled with even more fabulous food and exquisite wine!

Last stop for Collette was Bodegas Ruiz de Vinaspre, a fantastic family-run vineyard, where superb wines were enjoyed as well as a specially home cooked traditional lunch by mamá.
